Pharaoh of the Predynastic Dynasty
Also known as: Scorpion King·Scorpion I·Scorpion II
Scorpion's name and title are of great dispute in modern Egyptology. The name is attested on the Scorpion Macehead, depicting a king wearing the White Crown of Upper Egypt, and on numerous ivory tags from Abydos and Tarkhan. It is unclear whether the name refers to one or two kings, and whether they ruled Upper Egypt, Lower Egypt, or both. Abydos Tomb U-j likely belonged to him.
