The son of Ramesses VI, he was buried in Tomb KV1 in the Valley of the Kings at Thebes. The unfinished tomb has been known since antiquity and is small in comparison to other tombs of the Twentieth Dynasty. Very little is known about his reign except that grain prices soared.
