The third pharaoh of the Second Dynasty
Also known as: Nynetjer · Banetjer
The Horus name of Ninetjer is one of the best attested of the second dynasty. According to Africanus, Manetho gave him the name Binothris, while Eusebius claim it was Biophis; both surely comes from the similar names of the New Kingdom, Banetjer and Banetjeru. The beginning of the name on the Turin papyrus is lost, but it ends with netjeren, so that too might have contained almost the same form of the name.
